We are under permit to operate in Yellowstone National Park and in the Yellowstone Ranger District - Gallatin National Forest adjacent to and in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. We offer a variety of real Montana trail ride experiences, ranging from 1 hr, 2 hr, 1/2 day and full-day rides. Overnight pack-in trips up to 6-7 day pack trips into the wilderness. We are always pleased to design a custom trip to fit your individual needs.

    Having raised our children and raising our grandchildren around horses and the mountains, we can accommodate both young and old on our trips. We take pride in our fine string of horses and mules, which are tried and proven. We always keep your safety and comfort firmly in mind. Whether the purpose of your trip is fishing, sightseeing, photography, rock hounding or just the sheer enjoyment of the God's creation (Genesis Chapters 1-2) and beauty of the wilderness, we can provide a trip to fit your needs! We live in and operate in the heart of Paradise Valley.

This is our business and has been for many years. We just didn't decide to start up and see if it will work. We care about our guests and horses. We want you to have a quality/safe time and see some scenery as well. The pictures on our web site are actual pictures of our operation and where we actually take our rides.

Our riding stock are tried and proven and we own them all.

     Ask anyone around the area and they will tell you that Bear Paw Outfitters is the place to go for the nicest, safest and most scenic trail riding. We are one of the oldest trail riding outfits in the area. (38 years plus)

    We own our horses and mules so we know what to expect out of them, from year to year. If you have had a bad experience in the past, please give us a try and we will build your confidence back up, so you can once again enjoy our four footed friends. We do not allow any running of the animals.

    Our family and guides have all lived in the area for years and know how to take good care of our guests. You can trust your family's care to us. We want you to have a nice experience so you will come back again and do some more horseback riding.
